Patients can book using a phone or tablet


1.  A patient can go to a web page and enter their personal information (E.G: www.prelink.app/booking)


    

  • Select a payment from the drop down list (Cash/Card/Medical Aid)

 

  • The patient information can be copied into the guarantor details if the details are the same.



  • Confirm submission (security feature): tick the boxes.

           Click on 'Submit' after entering personal details.


The patient will receive a confirmation via SMS as well as a 'Booking Reference Number'

When patient arrives at the lab/testing center, person collecting the sample can confirm the patient, guarantor and payment prior to collecting the sample using the 'Booking Reference Number' (compatible on both laptop/PC or tablets)


Lab:

  • Login to preLink
  • Go to Capture Data>Bookings

   

Enter the reference number and click on 'View' or click on Bookings to view list.


When you click on the bookings queue, the following screen will list all bookings made:

Click on the booking to select the reference number set in the search field as follows:

Click on view to access booking details page as follows:

Note the request details section:

Request Number: Scan the specimen request number barcode here or leave blank to have the preLink CloudLIMS system autogenerate  a request number and assign to patient booking. When pre-printed barcodes are used, scan or type the barcode number into this field. Note that universal barcode rules for selected site apply

Reference#: This is the patient's booking reference number generated and auto populated  by preLink CloudLIMS.

Site: The booking system is a universal booking module for all laboratory sites. In this field you can select the site to associate to the request. Click on the drop down list to display all listed sites for your lab and select the one applicable to the booking.

Client: Select requesting Dr/client from list eg. Dr A Smith or Dischem Pharmacies etc. Type the first few letters of client to have filtered list displayed. The list does not auto populate but waits for user input. (this is already set up in Client Management by lab administrator) 

Location: Select client location from list. This list is filtered based on client selected.

Request Type: There are different request types setup on the LIMS system. Most commonly used is the FULL capture screen that allow for guarantor details to be captured for medical aid and cash patients. Corporate is used when a corporate client of the lab is responsible for the account. There are less capture fields made available on a corporate capture screen.

    

    

  • Confirm the patient and guarantor details
  • Confirm the payment type - For Cash and Card payments enter the amount paid and receipt number, for medical aid payments select the Medical Aid option, type in the Medical Aid Number and Dependent Number.
  • Select the Test typing first few letters in the drop down list
  • Click on 'Create Request'



    

The request is then created on preLink and a request number is generated:

    On 'Search Request' screen, search for the request using either the request number or booking request number
