A new capture type called “Batch” that needs to be linked to the sites that want to enable “Batch” capture.
You must select the client and enter the “batch number”.
preLink checks if the “batch number” exists and lets the user know if these requests will be added to the batch or a new one is created. It is also the “reference” on the MDS batch request form I think – a unique identifier for this batch.
The user can then select the “Test Group” and start capturing requests. The idea for the “Species” is to cater for human and vet batch captures instead of having separate ones. Type the first few letter of the species (e.g. “human”) and then select it. We need to get a list of possible species from MDS.
Request Number is our request number and Sample Number is the clients sample number/unique identifier for that specimen.
