1.) If a referring doctor wants their results to be sent through to Blue Bird, the lab needs to insert that doctors Blue Bird email/routing address into their Client Location Management > Email setup. The Email Address Type MUST be set to “EDI”.

 

 

2.) You DO NOT add Blue Bird as a Copy Doctor for ALL requests that are to be sent to Blue Bird. It must be setup on the Doctor, using point 1 above.

 

3.) ONLY for COVID-19 requests must the lab add “Blue Bird” as a copy doctor as that uses the icc@bluebird.co.za routing email address (which I have already setup according to point 1 above). I have also renamed the “Blue Bird” doctor to “Blue Bird (COVID-19 ONLY)” so that it is not added as a Copy Doctor in other requests.
