The setup process to SMS results from preLink (this access is limited to Administrators only, and is usually set up by IT staff. Clients are required to utilize a SMS bundle service provider, it is recommended to use Clickatell (www.clickatell.com) - create an SMS platform account. Once created copy the API key into the preLink SMS setup module.


Administration>System>System>SMS Setup

Enter the API Key, then click on 'Update'


N.B.: Ensure the following settings is selected when creating an account in Clickatell.


For Clients that use SMS on Clickatell, they need to create a "REST API" under Workspace>SMS. Then copy the new REST "API Key" into preLink SMS configuration. Important: is the call back URL (when editing the REST API in Clickatell SMS Config):

 


Step 1: Set up Type and Regions

Select API and a Messaging Type option will appear as below. Select One-way and click Next

Select One API and choose a new API then click Next

Fill in the Setup Name and Description

Set the Setup Type as Production and SMS Service Class as Priority.


The "Enable delivery notifications" must be turned On and URL will be the preLink instance URL E.G.: https://preLink.app/callback/clickatell.apsx  this is to receive status updates about the SMS from Clickatell - I.E.: "pending", "delivered to network" or "delivered" message notifications.



  • Increase the “Message Parts” to 3 or 4 because 1 SMS is not long enough.
  • Enable Message Parts and select 4 Part Messages

        


N.B.: Change in delivery notifications

It use a “HTTP Method” of “POST” and the “Enter Target Address” is “https://<tenant>.prelink.app/v1/api/clickatell/”.
