Though precautions are taken against logging incorrect patient information, sometimes it might happen that mistakes are made. This can easily be rectified by following the steps described in this article.

Navigate to the request that requires editing, and open it to view.  


Note: There are multiple methods of opening a request to view. The most common method is to use "Search Requests" on the preLink menu bar. To view the article, click here


When viewing a request, the request info is displayed at the bottom of the screen in the columns, as indicated below:




Editing Request/Patient/Guarantor Info


To edit this info, click on the pencil icon on the top right corner of the "Patient Information" column (outlined above with red circle). This will bring up the following window:



Here you will be able to edit all the details of a request (except for Ordered Tests. To view the article on editing Ordered Tests, click here).

  • To delete/clear everything under Patient/Guarantor Info, click on the trashcan icon  on the top right corner of patient and guarantor column.
  • To quickly copy the information from Patient Info to Guarantor Info, click on the copy icon  on the top right corner of guarantor column.

  • Once the details have been edited, click on the "Update" button at the bottom right of the "Edit Request" window (scroll down using the scroll bar or mouse wheel if it is not in view). Or click on "Cancel" the cancel all changes.
