The preLink V3 LIMS allows the user to monitor, create and edit delivery/courier requests, as well as send notifications to the couriers.

Select 'Courier' on the preLink menu bar. This will bring you to the following screen:



Here you can view the status of delivery requests that are in progress, are completed, create new requests and/or edit delivery requests. 


View Requests - Open/Completed:


Click on the 'Open' option at the top to display the list of courier/delivery requests currently in progress. (Note: This is the default setting upon entering the screen).



Click on the 'Completed' option at the top to display the list of courier/delivery requests currently completed. 



Add new Requests:


  • Click on 'Add new Requests' (underneath View Requests) to go the following screen:



  • Select a doctor by clicking on the magnifying glass and typing in, finding, and selecting a name using the search field shown below:



  • Select a courier from the drop-down list (if none, see setup courier)
  • Select Type - Bleed, Collection, or Delivery
  • Select Priority - Routine or Urgent
  • Enter the Patient Surname
  • Write a comment (optional)
  • Select notification type - Email, phone, or SMS
  • Notice that the Message is being auto filled as you go - add extra info if you wish   
  • Click on 'Insert'


There will be a short delay as the message is sent to the courier, after which the new request entry will appear on the 'Open' list.


From the 'Open' list you can also edit the courier request by clicking on 'Edit' to the far right, where you can edit the same details as above as well as add extra comments/messages to send to the courier, and also 'Close the Pickup', as shown below:
