To edit an instrument currently on the preLink V3 LIMS, click on 'Administration'.
And then 'Instrument Management' on the top menu.
Note: Enter the name of the instrument in the search bar and click on 'Search' if there is a long list and you are having trouble finding the instrument you wish to edit.
On the Instrument Management screen, click on 'Edit' on the far right of the instrument on the list, as indicated below.
This will take you to the following screen:
Here you will be able to change the instrument name & settings, delete the instrument, and/or configure tests for the instrument.

After applying changes, click on the 'Update' button (shown in the above screenshot, at the bottom) to confirm and update the new instrument settings configuration to the system.
If done correctly, the following message will appear near the top of the screen:
To delete the instrument, click on the 'Delete' button (situated next to the 'Update' button). The following message will appear near the top of the screen:
Click on 'OK' and you will be taken back to the Instrument Management screen (otherwise, click 'Cancel' to cancel this action).
To cancel all actions, and return to the Instrument Management screen without making changes, click on 'Cancel' at the bottom of the screen (next to the 'Update' & 'Delete' buttons).
Note: As stated at the bottom of the screen (in green), for all changes to take effect (on the system/instrument), stop the instrument and restart preLink Control.
