On the preLink menu bar, select "Call Out", or click on the green info icon on the dashboard, as indicated below.




Call Out Screen


On the Call Out screen, shown below, you will see a list of outstanding requests with results that have not been sent out to the relevant doctor(s).

The list is separated into four categories which display according to priority and request completion.

  • Urgent Requests, Ready for Callout
  • Hospital Requests, Ready for Callout
  • Routine, Ready for Callout
  • Automated and Not Resulted


Note: To view requests which have been closed in Call Out, click on "Callout History" at the top of the screen, on the right side of "Batch Options", as indicated below:



You can also click on "Configure Locations to View" (shown above, below "Callout History") to change the location of Call Out.

  • Tick the checkbox next to one, or multiple requests.
  • Select either "Single" to print the results for one, or "Batch" to print results for several requests.
  • Select the printer from the drop-down list.
  • Click on "Print".
  • Click on "Close Callout" to close for all checkboxes ticked.



View Requests


Click on the request to view it's results in detail, this will take you to the Request/Results screen:



The doctor/client can then be contacted via Email/SMS/Telephone (or sent a print-out) to inform them of the results using the Notification options shown below, situated bottom-right of the Request screen. 



Email: 

  • Click on "Open Email", and a pop-up window will appear. 
  • Choose the recipient by ticking the checkbox, or type in an email address.
  • Choose a format type in the drop-down list (e.g. Cumulative or Single). 
  • Click on "Send Email". 
  • A message will appear shortly afterwards informing you if the email was successfully sent.


SMS:

  • Click on the SMS tab, and then "Open SMS", and a pop-up window will appear. 
  • Select the recipient or select "other" and type in the number.
  • Click on "Preview Message" at the bottom (a preview image of the message will appear).
  • Click on "Send SMS".
  • A message will appear shortly afterwards informing you if the SMS was successfully sent.


Print:

  • This will simply print out the results (for mail, fax, records, etc).


Call:

  • After a phone call, enter any necessary details in the comment box and/or tick the "ignore called" checkbox.
  • Click on "Add Callout" to add the call to the Callout history.


Close Callout:

  • Close the call out by clicking the "Close Callout" button.
