The Send Away List is provided by the preLink LIMS for a quick and easy way to view requests that are waiting to be (or being) sent to an external laboratory.
Select "Lists > Send Away List" on the preLink menu bar as shown below.
This will bring you to the following screen:
Note: The default date range upon first entering is set to the current day. Send away requests for the current day will therefore be automatically listed.
Select the date range by entering the dates or by using the pop-up calendar for quick selection, and then click on "Show". The list will then appear beneath.
The user can then print the list by clicking on the "Print List' button.
Note:
A send away is when a test is performed by a third party and not one of the labs sites.
The test or profile must be marked as “Send Away: Yes” in Test Management or Profile Management.
The Lists > Send Away List page can then be used/printed to generate a “shipping list” of specimens for a specific site, for a specific date range.
The user can also click on any request to view its information in more detail. See View Requests.
