From here, the user will be able to perform the following functions:

Select the Location, Device, Container and Type options, and the following screen will appear:
The "Quick Storage" page is used to quickly store a large volume of samples in a selected storage container.
It is normally used for storage compartments that are marked as "Is Available: No" in the storage device layout as they probably already exist in a storage device.
Edit Storage Location
In the Storage Location Details tab (shown above), users can:
- Update Storage Location Details.
- Delete the location.
- Click on Cancel, or Return to List to go back.
In the Storage Devices tab (shown above), users can:
- Search, add, edit and delete containers in each compartment.
- Manage & view layout of compartments in device, & use setup wizard to create rows, columns and lines in device, including containers.
- Open a report.
Note: The device can be made client specific, e.g. Only GSK samples may be stored in a device.
Add/Edit Device
When adding or editing a new device, the user will be able to select the Device Type, enter the Name and specify whether or not the device is locked to certain clients (shown below).
Note: The barcode for the device will be automatically created on saving a new device.
If the user has selected "Locked for Client", they will be able to manage the client locations that are associated with the storage device by clicking "Manage Clients", which will open the Storage Device Client Management window (shown below).
Manage Layout
After a storage device has been created, the user will be required to setup the layout of the storage device. The user will enter the Rows, Columns and Lines (a.k.a Depth) of the compartments and the number, type and size of containers in each compartment.
*Warning* The user must be 100% certain of the layouts before clicking "Create". The compartment codes cannot be reused if a mistake is made. "Clear Device" should be used as a last resort.
Open A Report
Clicking on "Open" on a storage device listed in the Storage Devices tab will bring you to the following screen:
Here you can view the general status of sample stored in the selected containers.
